An other-worldly cluster of spiky stalactites (or stalagmites?) of calcite, rising parallel to one another. What is really interesting about this specimen is how the "base" formed at various levels, creating a sort of multi-tiered candelabra effect. This "base" is actually uncontacted; the only contact, in fact, is about an inch at the far right bottom. Ex. Ida and Henry Mullane Collection, assembled in the 1960s and 1970s.
