These gemmy Iowa calcites are NOT common on the market, which is sad, because at their best they really rival something you would see from Dalnegorsk - here, two super-gemmy scalenohedrons intergrown in a sculptural way. The matrix was trimmed just right to show them off without any damage to the crystals themselves. A wonderful U.S. calcite, superb quality for this or ANY U.S. locality as far as calcites go. Better in person!
