A superb set of absolutely gem-clear Calcite crystals from the N'Chwaning Mine. The largest of these crystals is 4 cm long, and it encompasses much of the matrix underneath. In fact, the crystals are so perfectly gemmy that every metallic inclusion and every bit of matrix under the crystals show up double-refracted, making it very hard to fully appreciate in the photos. It is much better in person - it looks like well-formed water, it is so clear. An absolutely stunning and unique calcite specimen - never seen the like. Ex. Charlie Key.
