Beryl (Var: Emerald)
While these crystals certainly are not gemmy as for good Columbian ones, note that this is an old BRAZILIAN emerald specimen - far more rare! The accompanying index card shows that it was purchased 30 years ago from Pala Properties, and that it had come out of the Robert Rich collection. The best crystal in this cluster measures 2.5 cm, with well-defined faces and termination. Gorgeous and unusually freestanding cluster, ex Ruggiero collection! 3.9 x 3.3 x 1.3cm
