A splendent, very sharp, jet-black, twinned Cassiterite crystal from Schlaggenwald, Bohemia, Czech Republic. The twin is 2.7 cm across, and there are numerous smaller Cassiterites throughout the matrix. This is CLASSIC, OLD-TIME and textbook material from this historic locality, and the quality and aesthetics are not diminished by the minor Wilbur near the tip of one of the twins. There is a strong resemblance to Bolivian and Chinese Cassiterites, but nevertheless this cabinet specimen is unique and more historic. Very old classic.
