A superb specimen of cassiterite from this classic Russian locale! Most such crystals are small, and frankly boring an dugly. This is a gorgeous crystal with sharp symmetry and stark jet black color, plus luster! It is complete all around, except for some contacting on a few lower back faces. The termination, in particular, is complete and symmetric all around, showcasing this unusual pyramidal termination that the locality is known for. It is a unique cassiterite crystal style, and I cannot say I have seen comparable from any of the contemporary cassiterite localities, giving this piece quite a bit of interest value.
