Cuprite
This is a massive, large cuprite specimen that features a single crystal of 5.5 cm attached to a smaller crystal of 3.2 cm, to make a very 3-dimensional and robust cluster. The luster is very good for this style, and it looks "polished" though of course it is not. In stronger light, you can see the reflectivity is greater (bottom-right). The crystal is huge, very robust and impressive, in a way hard to communicate ion the photos. This specimen would, if perfect, cost in the $25, 000 range as a few others have. It looks good visually, but I need to admit it has some contact on the bottom, and the backside, and the tips of the smaller sidecar 3.2 cm cuprite are a little damaged.. Nevertheless, this is an impressive piece, and at a reduced price for damage or contact that is invisible unless you look closely, so that it presents from the front as one of the more important pieces.
