Spinel
A superb, intensely colorful, nearly pristine, floater Spinel crystal that has incredibly sharp form and great edges! It has a vivid, deep red color, excellent transparency and an internal brightness that complements the extremely glassy surface luster. This is a robust, world class, Spinel thumbnail crystal that measures nearly an inch from tip to tip! Although not transparent, it is translucent and glows in light. These Mogok Valley Spinels represent some of the best in the world! As with many from Mogok, the larger crystals are somewhat rounded in places, it is not damage. This gorgeous octahedron has a mass on 12.94 grams. Ex. Bill Larson ("Burma Bill") from his important Burma collection which we obtained in 2020.
