This schorl has the wrong shape to be schorl! It is in fact a complete replacement of a sharp hexagonal Aquamarine beryl crystal, faithfully preserving the hexagonal form of the beryl. The piece is aesthetic, and complete all around. Truly unusual! From the Marshall Sussman collection of Namibian minerals. Joe Budd photos.
