A CLASSIC, OLD-TIME and EXCELLENT plate richly covered with glassy, colorless, nailhead calcite crystals to 3.7 cm on hematite-rich matrix from Egremont, England. The calcite crystals project at many different angles, giving a dramatic effect. Amazingly, this is essentially a pristine specimen. All of the major crystals are undamaged. Easily around 100 years old. Ex. George Elling Collection.
