This is a huge cluster weighing 4.4 pounds, of large, thick, robust pyrrhotites. The piece is complete and 360 degrees, all around. It has a very sharp geometry to the stacked hexagonal crystals, and a complex surface. The surface shows some alteration to, or perhaps ingrown, siderite and pyrite. But all tips are there, and the base is rimmed around by some contrasting metallic gunmetal-gray galena for accent. Ex. George Elling Collection.
