The variety of calcites from Dalnegorsk has been just staggering, and here is a highly unusual one: a flat, lustrous, hexagonal crystal, actually two flat crystals that have grown against one another! They sit on a small stalk of quartz. 3.8 x 3.5 x 1.5 cm
