Some intrepid miners have gone back into the old works at the classic Choix locality and begun pulling out a limited number of smithsonites in shades of pink, blue and lavender. The pink hueof this very pretty and sizeable specimen is actually much deeper and richer in person, with a shimmering, pearly luster. It is remarkable for the consistency of color over such a large surface. Really nice rounded 3-dimensional form, too. Overall, just plain aesthetic, a cut above the usual. 11 x 8 x 7 cm
