A superb, lustrous arborescent copper from an uncommon Nevada locality. This specimen has excellent aesthetics, way better than most Nevada coppers you see. Considering the immense richness of Nevada in terms of gold, silver, and copper, it always surprises me that so few fine specimens of these native elements are for sale. In part, this is because the ores tend to be very disseminated, and in part it is also because a lot of the crystallized zones were hit long ago and specimens which were preserved simply have been "lost" over the years in many cases. This mine, I am told, still produces specimens from the dumps on occasion, though not of this caliber. Front and back views are given. 6.7 x 3.4 x 1.3 cm
