Clay Center is best-known for its amber-colored cubes of fluorite, but here is a rather uncommon combination specimen from the locality: a complex, compound crystal of spiky calcite has grown on a spray of frosty celestine (this same form of celestine is often seen in association with the familiar fluorites from there) .
