The Jonas Mine produced what is probably the most famous single pocket of tourmaline crystals of all time. This is atypical and unusual for the find and not the usual gemmy treasure, but a neat specimen nonetheless. Admittedly, this crystal has an outer rind of opaque tourmaline around and is covered with quartz crystals, but the quartz crystals actually make it rather unique and pretty. And, it is a good-sized robust crystal for the Jonas, with little columnar sub-terminations mixed with quartz crystals. Mined in 1978.
