A classic, superb mounded cluster of gemmy, lustrous, beautifully striated, color-zoned apatite crystals on matrix from the Panasqueira Mine of Portugal. The apatites have textbook, hexagonal form and the large doubly terminated crystal is superbly placed at the top of the piece. The crystals are green in the middle and nearly colorless at the terminations. A single quartz crystal is a nice accent. Ex. Gary Hansen Collection from the early 1980s or late 1970s.
