Calcite specimens of all sort of shapes and varieties were saved by miners from the early days at Bisbee, as they had no commercial value and the miners recognized their variety and beauty. This is a bizarre hollow cast of calcite that looks more like something biological than mineralogical - perhaps a tree fungus. But Bisbee calcite it is! Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection.
