These gorgeous bicolor morganite/aquamarine Beryls from Brazil are not common! They came out in the early to mid 1960s, and I have seen only a few for sale in my life. This is a large, tabular, very gemmy crystal measuring over three inches across and over an inch in thickness. The central interior portion is a beautiful pastel pink Morganite that is essentially all gem and measures 2 inches across. The Morganite is then surrounded and capped by light seafoam green-blue Aquamarine that is also very gemmy. The only characteristic that slightly obscures the gemminess of the crystal is the overall, slightly satin luster that is apparent of the top and sides. The back, however, is a glassy, fractured surface that highlights the internal gemminess of the entire crystal! These stunning bicolored Beryls are rare as hens teeth from Brazil (or anywhere for that matter), and when they are available are usually snapped up very quickly by the old guard Brazil and gem crystal collectors. This was one of the major pieces in the Bill and Anne Cook collection.
