This is another superbly crystallized matrix specimen where the glassy and gemmy, colorless albite crystals have grown in an aesthetic, jackstraw pattern. The largest crystal, which measures 3.3 cm across, is also doubly terminated. For contrast, a few crystals have a dusting of chlorite on them. This specimen illustrates both the clarity and shocking topaz-like luster of the feldspars from this find and is breathtakingly beautiful, to say the least! It also is, we feel, a highly important US specimen that holds its own (or surpasses, rather) on a worldwide basis too. This extremely aesthetic small cabinet piece has been carefully trimmed around the periphery to leave it free of damage on all major crystals, which now flare up from a small matrix of enclosed schist underneath.
