A dazzlingly sharp, clean and finely-formed cassiterite, translucent to transparent in good light, with deep coffee color. It is complete all around, with no damage! The crystal was very carefully removed with just a bit of matrix for contrast. This find was a big departure from the more familiar opaque black crystals from Ping Wu (different province), and represents an important new occurrence for the species as of about 2 years ago. NOTE: crystal shown in normal lighting. With strong lighting, it is more translucent with a gemmy brown hue. 2.5 x 2 x 2 cm
