A large, sharp, glassy, orthorhombic prism of natrolite with a secondary coating of natrolite from the Chimney Rock Quarry at Bound Brook, New Jersey. This fine crystal has a sharp termination and is from the trap rocks (basalt flows) of the First Watchung Mountains. Complete-all-around and pristine on three sides. This is likely an older specimen and it is superb for the gemminess, clarity, and sheer size. Ex. N.A. Wintringham Collection.
