An old-time and fine specimen from the Oronogo Field of the Tri-State District. Oronogo lies about 5 miles north of Joplin, Missouri. Botryoidal, yellow, "turkeyfat" smithsonite richly covers the contrasting, 3-dimensional, sculptural, gray chert matrix. Likely dates to the late 1800s at the most recent.
