Gold from Scotland is quite rare, and this is a relatively large, showy, locality piece. It was collected in around 2015 by Bob Sutherland of Angus, and sold to Ralph Sutcliffe, who even though semi-retired as a dealer still maintained a collection of interesting UK locality pieces for many years and bought this lot of several pieces. I am told this was the middle in size, and weighs 3.4 grams (1/10 ounce). It is a full, display quality thumbnail specimen.
