A highly unusual, old time tourmaline from San Diego! This style of tourmaline is seldom seen, and I am told by Bill Larson came out at the turn of the 1900s. This is actually the only such crystal of this particular style and color palette that I have seen for sale, even, from San Diego. It masses 320 grams and is complete all around. This was long in the University of Arizona museum, where their duplicates were sold in 2012-2013. It was previously in the collections of JE Burton and Rukin Jelks (who had a great collection which won Desautels in Tucson). Joe Budd photos.
