This tall, elegant, natural tanzanite is rare in that it is a cluster, whereas most are singles. The varied coloration shows clearly that it is natural and not heat-treated to enhance the blue tone saturation, as that would remove the red and yellow colors seen in some angles. As such, I find it particularly nice because there is no doubt about whether it was heated or not, and it is immediately recognized. It has a nice blue color on one axis, purple on the other, but this is more obvious in person. In side lights, and with light coming from below, you see other colors as well. Complete, perfect, and without damage, this is an unusually large tanzanite cluster for the price range. 120 grams.
