A showy and excellent calcite specimen from an uncommon South African locality, the Gloria Mine. Lustrous, translucent and frosted gray calcite rhombs cover the massive calcite matrix. The overall presentation and shape looks like a brain coral. Ex Willy Israel Collection, who purchased this piece from Pieter De Bruyn in Hotazel in 1986.
