A superb, old-time, and extremely rich combination piece of gemmy, honey-brown eosphorite blades festooned on beautifully contrasting, glassy rose quartz on a 3-dimensional matrix of smoky quartz. This fine, rare combination piece is from 1960s-70s finds at the Lavra da Ilha pegmatite, located on a island in the Jequitinhonha River, Minas Gerais. The pegmatite could only be mined when water levels were low. Ex. George Elling Collection.
