Gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous burnt-orange orpiment crystals to 1.1 cm with striking yellow highlights and sharp chisel terminations form a very aesthetic crust from the Quiruvilca Mine of Peru. Pieces of this outstanding quality came out from the 1970s to 1981, with none since. It is essentially pristine. Ex. Clyde Hardin Collection. Quiruvilca Mine orpiment of this quality is comparable to any worldwide locality, including the well-known 2001 find at the Twin Creeks Gold Mine of Nevada. Only available through recycled advanced collections.
