Formed somehow inside a galena orebody, from which it was later removed, this robust, lustrous and partially gemmy, cherry-red crystal of rhodonite is complete all around (but is slightly pitted due to the removal of some of the galena by physical means). It is a huge crystal, which glows when backlit well. Arguably the world's best locality for the species, rhodonite crystals of this quality in such size are rarely, if ever, available in today's marketplace.
