Tetradymite is an uncommon bismuth, tellurium sulfosalt. This good locality piece has bright, tin-white microcrystals, as well as more sheet-like Tetradymite, in a Quartz matrix. Adding to the interest of the piece are small amounts of Gold. There are two mines in the Jilove District that this small cab could be from. In any case, an extreme rarity in combination, and in Kay's drawer of "special pieces" she spent time studying.
