This is an elegant cluster of floating calcites with incredibly glassy luster, from the mid-to-late 1800s mining at Egremont for iron. It is complete all around and has very sculptural aesthetics, making this among my favorites for the size and price range that I have seen for the material. This has long been in the collection of my friend here in Dallas, Wally Mann. It look slike a smaller version to the famous example from the same region that Bill Larson has used in advertising for his business, for decades. I traded this from Wally for my own collection some years ago.
