Here is a specimen-grade example of salt in its native crystallized form. The piece has sharp crystals to 2 cm of halite, from the biggest and most classic underground salt mine in the world. It is a beautiful piece, complete-all-around. These transparent crystals have been known for hundreds of years and shown in books as far back as mineralogy was written down, and today remain a classic of the hobby - though seldom seen on the market. Ex. Harold Urish Collection.
