This is a LARGE, COMPLETE and FINE example from this fascinating discovery in Florida. Gemmy calcite crystals grew in the natural pockets formed by buried fossil clamshells. The interior of this large shell is now completely full of these fine, golden crystals. Windows in each side allow a perfect view of the gemmy crystals from either side - it can be displayed either way! This one also features a sparing amount of gray conglomerate matrix which sets off the shell nicely. A top-notch specimen from this find! 13.2 x 11.0 x 6.8 cm
