The classic locality of Val Vigezzo in Italy is one of the more unique localities in the European Alps. It's an interesting pegmatite locality that is most well known for its Emerald specimens, but it also produces Zeolites, metallic oxides and even rare-earth species. This piece is a classic Val Vigezzo Emerald featuring a prismatic, light green, hexagonal crystal measuring 7 mm on matrix. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
