This is a highly aesthetic and amazingly beautiful display specimen from this famous part of the Swiss Alps. This piece is comprised of a pair of stunning, deep green, "chloritized" bladed crystals of Axinite forming a "wing like" shape flaring off a plate of Adularia. This piece is one of the most visual Axinite specimens you could ask for in this size range. Please note that the Axinite crystals are contacted on the reverse side of the specimen with little but it is truly not that distracting. Based upon the label, I would guess that this piece is at least 60 years old. These specimens are impossible to find in today's market, they simply are too few and far between to pass up. A great overall Alpine specimen! 4.0 x 3.8 x 3.2cm
