Dramatic and large, Hematite included Quartz cluster from Namibia, one of the largest fine examples of the evenly red-colored style. Two large and prominent Quartz crystals dominate this piece with the largest 8.5cm long and the other 8cm in length. There are almost a dozen other significant Quartz crystals on the specimen that range from 3 to 5cm in length and numerous smaller ones. All of the Quartz crystals exhibit a layer of brick-red Hematite inclusions just underneath the last layer of Quartz that was deposited; the core of the crystals are essentially colorless or somewhat cloudy. This can be seen at the pyramidal terminations of most of the Quartz crystals and the prism faces, however, are essentially are opaque from the inclusions. In excellent condition all around. Ex. Shields and Frances Flynn collection with label.
