This fabulous smithsonite is from the original finds at Choix, not the recent re-mining. It has an old Gary Hansen label with it. This knob has fabulous pastel pink color, the TOP shimmering luster, and is free of any bruising or contacts on the display face. It is actually a thick crust over 1 centimeter thick that formed around a knob of limonitic matrix, which is no longer there - the specimen is concave underneath and bears an impression of the rock it formed on.
