An OLD-TIME, CLASSIC Copper Queen Mine CABINET specimen of nested, dentritic, spinel-twinned copper wires on a thin, sturdy, botryoidal, beige calcite crust. The central, mounded copper "nest" is an impressive feature and some of the copper wires have an overgrowth of secondary calcite. BRIGHT orange fluorescence on the calcite!! Certainly around 100 years old. Ex. George Elling Collection.
