On a crust of sparkling pink dolomite is a plate of lustrous, pearlescent, ivory colored, intergrown crystals of calcite, with individuals reaching .7 cm across. There is even the hint of chatoyancy to the crystals. This variety is often shown to be zinc-rich, and labeled zincian calcite or zincian dolomite. Ex. Charlie Key.
