This is a very large, thick and heavy natural specimen of penny-bright copper from the copper-mining district of Michigan. You can clearly see chunks of matrix from the host rock that surrounded this thick vein. The copper has retained its natural brightness on both sides of the specimen. This impressive specimen weighs over 2 pounds!
