A superb specimen of manganoan calcite. The beautiful hemisphere is covered with sharp, lustrous and translucent, lightly frosted, manganoan calcite scalenohedrons. Excellent orange fluorescence. Manganoan calcite scalenohedrons of this quality and style were very uncommon from the Kalahari Manganese Field. This excellent specimen certainly dates to the 1960s-70s, as evidenced by the style of the 3 accompanying labels. Ex. Mullane Collection.
