This is a robust, thick, textbook aquamarine crystal with great blue color saturation. It is translucent, though not transparent per se. The thing that really makes this piece are the slender inclusions of acicular schorl in the termination, running perpendicular to the long crystal axis. The effect is really striking, and very dramatic. From the noted Erongo specialty collection of Heini Soltau.
