This is BIG, 4 cm cluster of gemmy, pink-red spinel crystals - some of them actually part of the same "compound" crystal. The cluster has been expertly exposed on the marble matrix, so that it sits perfectly atop the natural "base" and does not even need a prop. As you can see, the luster is terrific. The color is RED, cherry-red. There is just a LOT of gem spinel here in such a concentrated area and this is unusual because they tend to normally be dispersed in matrix.
