Outstanding twinned crystal of Calcite, on a shard of purple Fluorite, from the Denton Mine. This mine has produced many of the best Calcites from Southern Illinois. As attractive as the pics are, they still cannot adequately portray just how good the luster and gemminess really are. The very minor rubbing in just a few small spots doesn't affect the resplendent nature at all. With the Calcite sitting on the purple Fluorite the way it is, you have a beautifully set up combination that is highly aesthetic. Comes with a custom base. SUPERB in person! Lillie collection (although the number came off in cleaning).
