A unique, very rare, gemmy aquamarine from Bulgaria. This water-clear, ice-blue crystal is pristine and has vibrant color saturation. The complex, pyramidal termination is lightly etched. A textbook thumbnail aquamarine from a most unusual locale. Ex. Keith Williams. Keith exchanged this piece from the National Museum in Sophia on one of his trips to Bulgaria in 2004. He was told that the crystal was collected in the Rhodope Mountains prior to the 1930s.
