A very nice, large Kunzite. The luster is good, and the crystal is partially gemmy throughout. This fine Kunzite has two unusual features, first, the better presentation side has classic silky striated luster, except for the upper 1.5 cm on that side. There, the surface becomes smooth, greatly enhancing the luster. Such variability is rarely seen. Even more exceptional is the sharp pink phantom that comprises the lower 7 cm of the crystal, with the upper 2 cm being clear.
