No, these are not bright little red garnets.They are tiny crystals of super-sparkly calcite, some of which have inclusions of deep red hematite - giving them this uniquely jewel-like look! What is particularly nice is that the red ones stand out against the surrounding brownish ones, providing a sharp contrast that makes the piece even prettier. Unique and pretty!
