This specimen exhibits some of the best attributes of Indian Calcite - it is twinned, well-formed, and it has superb transparency and luster. In person, these twins have a beautiful golden straw color and glass-like luster - really the top quality you could ask for! It is three-dimensional and complete all around with only a contact along one edge. The largest of the two crystals is 3 cm on edge. Most Indian calcites pale compared with the elegance and beauty of the specimen. It is far better in person - just too gemmy to shoot well.
