Not all that many cinnabar specimens are truly aesthetic; this one really is, I think. The fine cinnabar crystal (1.5 cm) is sitting on white quartz right next to an amber crystal of calcite; so you get an unusual and pretty combination of colors. There is a ding on a back corner of the cinnabar, but it doesn't detract from the beauty of this piece from the display face. The color contrast is striking and really, very uncommon! 6 x 4 x 4.5 cm
